How We Can Help

We offer a full range of diagnostic and treatment options to promote and improve vascular health.

Abdominal Aortic Aneurysms (AAA)

Enlargement and dilation of the abdominal aorta can lead to rupture of the blood vessel and even death.  Smoking, high blood pressure, and family history are risk factors for aneurysm disease.  We offer minimally invasive diagnostic procedures for detecting and monitoring aneurysms.  Treatment is via a covered stent or endograft when the aneurysm reaches a critical size.  We are proud to offer new technology with a revolutionary polymer graft that can treat even the most difficult aneurysm anatomy.  The procedure can usually be done with a one day length of stay at Blake Medical Center. Deep Venous Thrombosis (DVT) and Leg Swelling

Lower extremity swelling and pain may be due to blood clots in the veins.  Blood clots can damage the inside lining of the vein, predispose to further clotting, and damage the delicate valves inside the veins.  Our office offers comprehensive treatment of DVTs and venous insufficiency, including diagnostic ultrasound imaging of venous reflux, compression stockings, pneumatic pump therapy, and anti-coagulation therapy. Varicose Veins

Painful, tired, heavy, achy, swollen legs may be a symptom of underlying venous insufficiency and varicose veins.  Valve dysfunction can lead to elevated pressure in the veins and life style altering symptoms of pain and swelling.  Our office is proud to offer a fully minimally invasive approach to vein care.  Diagnostic testing for venous reflux is done in house with our own registered ultrasound technician.  We use radiofrequency ablation for treatment of diseased varicose veins via a small needle puncture.  The remaining varicosities are then treated with cutting edge modalities such as foam sclerotherapy.  No incisions need to be made on the legs for these treatments.  Therapy is covered by insurance in the majority of cases. Leg Pain and Calf Claudication

If you have tired heavy legs after walking limited distances, you may have peripheral arterial disease.  Calf pain (claudication) or hip and buttock pain with ambulation may be related to a lack of blood flow to the lower extremities.  This may be due to atherosclerosis or hardening of the arteries.  We offer state of the art minimally invasive surgeries such as stent placement and plaque removal (atherectomy) to help alleviate your symptoms.
